KINDNESS
KNOWS
NO LIMITS

“EVERY GESTURE AIMED AT SOCIAL
OR HUMANITARIAN GOOD,
IN MY VIEW, IS SIMPLY THE FRUIT OF DELVING DEEP INTO YOUR HEART TO FIND AND SHARE THE TREASURES OF COMPASSION, THAT SIMPLY MULTIPLIES AS MUCH AS
YOU SHARE IT ”

In my opinion, there are two types of people. There are those, who believe that you can only offer the world, what it gives you. No more, no less. But then, there are those, who think that you can always be a little more generous, a little more compassionate, a little more caring. It is this school of thought that I belong; thanks to decades of inspiration from my peers, elders and friends.

It is this mind-set that inspired me to engage with many like-minded people and groups not only in the course of my business but also in pursuit of my social responsibilities. Every businessman supports families of those who work for him, but when you start looking beyond your immediate eco-system; you discover how a little effort can transform many lives.

Thus, social responsibility for me became a mission and by and by, I got involved with many socially relevant ventures – be it funding education of socially deprived communities, raising funds for a state of the art Cancer Hospital, adopting villages and empowering its men, women and children to supporting rural sports & cultural activities.

Thankfully, in an era where both the government and business world is getting more and more involved with social impact initiatives, I was fortunate to get a head start in addressing several issues related to core domains like health, education, rural empowerment. I am involved with these causes at many levels, serving as a trustee with some or as fundraiser for another; even personally volunteering my services at times.

The level of association is not important, but what matters is the level of satisfaction I get from giving my hundred per cent to social obligations, whenever the opportunity arises. Thus, my involvement in each noble cause leads to yet another and the chain of kindness goes on and on. Rightly then, every act of empathy breeds more empathy and that’s what makes the world go round!
